Description:
The XGAY class hopper formally known as the NSW C-35 hopper was originally built in 2005 for ATN. This hopper then branched out to other company's with AWB purchasing the first batch of XGAY hoppers followed by El Zorro who ordered WGSY and WGBY hoppers, The WGSY is a stand alone hopper whilst the WGBY is 2 hoppers with a draw bar fitted. SSR then ordered their own batch known as the BGSY which were made for the GWF western grain contract. In 2015 Qube Logistics acquired a new contract with AWB which lead to the reclassing of some former WGSY and WGBY hoppers into SGSF and SGBF.
The SGMF is a fictional wagon based off the QUBE SGMY grain hoppers which were delivered to Australia in mid 2022.
