Description:
In 2009 SCT deemed it a requirement to modernise the fleet of 80ft wagons, and approached QR National for a design based on the Queensland BEZY type wagons, the main difference being the added 20ft on the PQIY. Forty of these wagons were built by GEMCO (0001 to 0040) in Western Australia for interstate container traffic, and have seen use from west to east fulfilling a variety of roles. The current use for these wagons is SCT's Dooen traffic as well as Sadleirs, and frequent use on Melbourne to Barnawartha container traffic.
